Terms of Service

Effective date: 3 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cert Career (the "Service"), a website and web application offering practice questions and timed mock examinations to help users prepare for Microsoft certification examinations. The Service is operated by us ("we", "us", "our", or the "Operator"). By accessing or using the Service, you ("you", "your", or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to make a purchase. Users under that age may use the free portion of the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is intended for individual, personal study use only.

2. The Service

The Service provides practice questions and timed mock examinations independently authored by the Operator, intended as a study aid for individuals preparing for certain Microsoft certification examinations (for example, AI-103 and AB-731). The practice questions and mock exams are independently authored by the Operator. They are not real, leaked, or actual examination questions, and are not reproduced from any official Microsoft examination. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Accounts

Some features (including paid features) may require an account; the free tier may be used without one. You agree to provide accurate information, safeguard your credentials, and are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@certcareer.com of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts under Section 12.

4. Free and Paid Access; Purchases

  • Free tier. The first 10 questions of every exam are available for free, without an account. This is a one-time allowance per exam, not a daily reset. The limit may change at our discretion.
  • Paid access. Exam Pass — one (1) exam, one-time US$10; Career Path — all exams within a single career path, one-time US$18; and All-Access — all exams, one-time US$25.
  • Lifetime access means the operational lifetime of the Service and is not a guarantee of indefinite availability. If we permanently discontinue the Service, Section 8 and the Refund Policy apply.
  • Payment processing is by Stripe; by purchasing you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not store full card details.
  • Taxes are your responsibility. Price changes do not affect access already purchased. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (incorporated by reference), including the Pass Guarantee.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) copy, scrape, republish, distribute, sell, or sublicense any Service content (questions, answers, explanations); (b) use automated means to access or extract content; (c) share, resell, or transfer your access or credentials; (d) circumvent security, access-control, or usage-limit features; (e) reverse engineer the Service except where that restriction is unlawful; (f) use the Service in connection with cheating on or unauthorised conduct relating to an official examination; or (g) upload malicious code or impair the Service. We may suspend or terminate any User who violates this Section.

6. Intellectual Property

All content (questions, options, explanations, mock exams, text, graphics, UI, software, and their compilation) is the original work of, and owned by or licensed to, the Operator, protected by copyright and other laws. Subject to these Terms and any payment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the content for your own personal study only. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Feedback you send us may be used by us without obligation.

7. Microsoft Non-Affiliation and Trademark Notice

The Service is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorised by, or otherwise connected to Microsoft Corporation or CompTIA, Inc. in any way. "Microsoft", "Azure", and Microsoft certification exam names/codes (such as "AI-103" and "AB-731") are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. "CompTIA" and "Security+" (including the exam code "SY0-701") are trademarks of CompTIA, Inc. All such marks are used nominatively solely to identify the examinations for which the Service helps you prepare. We claim no ownership of Microsoft's or CompTIA's trademarks.

8. No Guarantee of Passing; Limitation of Liability

Except for the express Pass Guarantee in our Refund Policy, we do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any examination or any particular score. The Service and content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or examination opportunity. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months, or (b) US$25. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services (Stripe, our hosting provider, Microsoft's sites). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices; your use is governed by their terms.

11. Changes to These Terms and to the Service

We may update these Terms; for material changes we will update the "Effective date" and, where reasonable, provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access (including accounts and paid access) for breach, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the Service. If we terminate paid access without cause, we will address any refund under the Refund Policy. Sections 6, 8, 9, and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your residence provides otherwise.

14. General

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger or sale.
